DIMSCAN is a semi-automatic digital image microscopy system for quantitating relative cell numbers in tissue culture plates. Cytotoxicity assays measured by DIMSCAN can achieve a 4 log dynamic range and correlate with colony forming assays. Rectangular plates can be employed with number of wells ranging from 6 to 384 wells per plate.
